2. Due to the recent budget cuts on-campus, certain e-learning support services for faculty have been phased out. This does NOT effect the College of ACES WebCT server; all Fall 2003 classes have accounts already created and the College even upgraded to version 4.0 of WebCT. You will find this version much easier to use.
However, related faculty support is discontinued. For example, this e-learning web site will not be maintained and is now just an archive of past semester materials. While some resources remain useful, all support materials for WebCT are out of date since the College now runs version 4.1 of WebCT while most of the tutorials, FAQs, etc., cover version 3.6. We will at least post online resources for using WebCT 4.1 on the main ACES WebCT site listed above.
Another kind of discontinued support is free posting of web content for class web pages and special projects where cutting edge uses of the web for instruction are supported at no charge for their demonstration value.
3. Look forward to using Illinois Compass next Spring or Fall. Compass is the local name for what is really the enterprise version of WebCT ("Vista") that the UI System has licensed.
